Senator Gilbert Kahele believes in Aloha for allSeptember 13, 2013
With the special session of the House approaching on October 28th, political leaders stepping forward to support marriage equality is crucial. Joining those to speak out is Hawaii Senator Gilbert Kahele. He understands that Hawaii needs to extend marriage benefits to all loving and committed couples living on our islands.
Senator Kahele is the latest prominent voice across Hawaii to urge state legislators to act now to extend marriage to gay and lesbian couples, including Honolulu City Councilmember Stanley Chang, Rep. Nicole Lowen, Rep. Della Au Bellati, Rep. Cynthia Thielen, Senator Will Espero, and Honolulu City Councilmember Ikaika Anderson, and all four members of Hawaii’s Congressional delegation.
